The tubular daylighting devices (TDDs) capture sunlight at roof level, redirect it down a highly reflective shaft and diffuse the light at ceiling level into the space for an abundance of evenly spread, full spectrum natural light. Add to this system high performance LED lighting and controls, including daylight dimmers, dimming ballasts on electric lights, and daylight sensors; the result is a controlled system that maximizes lights-out time, reduces carbon emissions, decreases energy costs and improves human performance. We offer traditional skylight systems for spaces that do not require the added control of tubular systems and replacement or repair of fading plastic bubble skylights with energy efficient glass models. The glass models are ENERGY STAR™ rated. The skylight replacement units we install have a double layer of Low-E2 coating that provides additional thermal performance, preventing heat gain in the summer months and heat loss during the wintertime, thereby reducing cooling and heating bills. These flat-glass skylights feature two panes of tempered safety glass dual-sealed with argon gas for increased thermal performance. They have aesthetic advantages plus tremendous endurance to withstand violent weather throughout the year. A solar powered shade is available for selected skylights.
Our solar powered ventilation systems are perfect for commercial buildings needing ventilation in attic, plenum, or crawl spaces. It’s an affordable, sustainable way to reduce energy costs, lengthen the life span of the existing roof and keep stale air from sitting in the building, creating healthier work spaces. During winter months, it prevents moisture build up which destroys insulation and sheathing and helps to prevent ice damming on pitched roof applications.
